P: Develop Presets: Add "Apply to New Virtual Copy"

Enhance the develop presets panel by allowing the user to right-click on a preset and select "Apply to New Virtual Copy." This will create a new virtual copy of the photo with the selected develop preset applied to it. This will save a lot of time since I am often applying several presets to the same base photo. Additionally, this same action should be accessible via middle-clicking on the desired preset.

Middle-click to accomplish this is a great idea! I'll see if I can edit the description to add that idea.

+1 for this! I often create virtual copies to set several presets on the same images, plus keeping the original image.

And, like the browsers: by pressing the middle mouse creates automatically a new copy of the image with the clicked preset.

I'm looking forward to adding this feature as soon as possible. It's really annoying making a new virtual copy and then set the preset - sometimes you forgot which preset you have used in preview.

Sure, why not? That's the kind of opportunity that those not interested in, can simply ignore.

But also / instead, I suggest if you momentarily press S to switch into Softproof mode LrC will automatically branch off into a new virtual copy automatically, if you then apply a preset OR any other kind of new edit.
