P: Exclude some sliders from Previous button

The Previous button in Develop is a massive time-saver, however I wish there was a dialog to exclude specific settings, as there is with Sync or Copy.

I would particularly like to exclude Red Eye, which is very rarely in the same place in the next photo and leaves odd grey dots that aren't immediately noticeable.

I would also like to exclude Crop, as I often crop first and then go back and apply Develop adjustments later.

Exactly.

I tend to use Ctrl Alt V rather than the previous button.

When a previous image does have Red-Eye, Crop or Brush Adjustments I have to resort to the Copy Settings dialog and exclude those.

For me It would work better the other way round. Configurable settings for the Paste from Previous sounds great to me. Then for the few that do want extra adjustments applied I can go the Copy Settings route.

I just created a feature request for a "Last" button. The idea is that the "Last" button refers to the settings of the image last edited rather than the settings of the image last visited. This "Last" button should have the same option to prevent certain edit settings (e.g., adjustment brushes) permanently from being copied, until one changes the selection again.

I also would love to have the option to exclude crop when applying Previous settings. Love Previous, but rarely wish to carry the crop forward. 🙂

Geoff, I belong to the rare species that actually reads manuals. Admittedly, I haven't made it through all of the LR manual yet since I find that I learned enough about LR from many sources to use it effectively. It never occurred to me that "Previous" could mean anything else but "previous edits". Since LR had/has many similar little issues, I simply assumed that there is a bug. Are you consulting the LR manual every time you discover anomalous behaviour to verify whether it is "as intended"?

Yes, I could have helped myself earlier by reading the relevant part in the manual, but I have difficulty to categorize your comment as "friendly".
