Feather Masks - ability to universally feather a mask selection in LR like photoshop. With a feather slider. The AI selctions are great but often need to be feathered this would speed up workflow greatly.

The May release of Camera Raw 18.3.1 is now live and contains an update for this feature request.

I agree also, this will help with speeding up the workflow and gives more flexibility.

It appears to me that many. times, when I do “Subject”, the mask is already feathered.  The problem is that I have no control over it and there is no way to alter it.

PS has a lot of features with masking (selection) that would be great to have.  The ability to expand or contract a mask by N pixels would be nice.

I think this would be extremely useful. It would greatly improve the usefulness of the AI masks.

Why has this turned up and with only 11 votes?

This topic was in the old community forum before the recent switch over under a different title, but the same author, and had more than 500 votes!

I hope the old topics won’t be just forgotten about like so many bugs are.

Yes I agree, Any mask created in LRC should have feather, smooth and shift edge !

100% agree. Without feathering, 95% of what you can do becomes too abrasive on the eye. A lot of functionality is being lost here. By the way - how do you manually feather?
