P: Have a repair installation for Photoshop and Lightroom.

Microsoft has this for many of their products. I had to call Adobe for help because there is no option to repair an installation in Lightroom Classic. Uninstalling and reinstalling just put it back the same way - with missing functions.

When you uninstall, you should be presented with an option to keep the preferences. Are you not seeing that?

I see from your post history that you have been having problems with Edit in Photoshop, which may be fixed with an uninstall/reinstall of both LrC and PS. In this case, a repair installation might not be sufficient.

For other issues, reinstalling rarely fixes anything.

Every time I ask for help from Adfobe to fix an issue in Lightroom Classic or Photoshop they have me uninstall LR and PS then reinstall it which removes all my preferences. It takes ages to replace them all. I would like to see a better solution. That is why I suggest that Adobe look into creating a repair function rather than ripping out the app. A repair should not  wipe out all my settings.

missing functions.

I recommend that you post a new posting in Discussions on your problem (I looked for one from you, maybe I overlooked it)

The missing functions may have absolutely nothing to do with the install, unless it is a LrC version issue (old version, no such options). Could be something got hidden. Could be something does not work with non RAW files, etc.

You have posted what you think is a solution and are trying to work backwards. Maybe post your problem and see if we can derive a solution rather than blindly assigning one?
