P: Honor Edit Count when importing from another catalog

Steps to reproduce:

I use "Edit Count" a lot for sorting photos in the Library view. Especially to find photos I have done some work on.

I have a Mac Studio as my main editing desktop, but I use a laptop for editing photos when I am travelling, and use the "Export as Catalog" option on the laptop to export photos and LrC edits.

When I import the photos on my desktop ("Import from another catalogue"), the images and edits are imported fine. All edit steps are available in the edit history.

Actual result:

But "Edit Count" sorting does not affect the imported photos. It is as if the edit count = 0 on the imported photos - they are not sorted first. If I filter using edit attribute, the filtering is working.

Expected result:

Edited photos imported from another catalogue should be sorted according to edit count.

Lightroom Classic 12.5

Mac Studio and Macbook Pro - latest OS - but I had the same issue on Windows version.

@Rikk Flohr: Photography, please consider moving this to Bugs.

I verified that when you do File > Import From Another Catalog, new photos imported from that catalog get their internal fields "editCount" and "lastEditTime" set to 0, rather than copied from the imported catalog.  You can see this for yourself by using the Show Catalog Metadata plugin:

I do not use edit count myself for file sorting, but I did one time find that the sorting just wasn't working at all. A preferences reset cleard it up for me. I hope that helps. Anytime LrC starts doing strange things, a preference reset is a good idea.

This issue is easily reproducible on also new installations of LR. It seems to be a bug and not anything related to my installation.
