P: Import from Mac's Photos App

LRC is not able to acces pictures from the PHOTO app on my MAC.  LRC does not recognize the Photo Library.photolibrary as a source for my pictures and therefore will not import them.  I am required to move them to another location (ie:desktop) to import the pictures.  I think that if LRC plug-ins recognizes the iPhoto library which hasnt been used by Apple for a while and doesnt recognize the Photo library, perhaps a new plug-in should be written.

Workarounds:

 

- The LR Desktop app (part of the LR cloud ecosystem) can import from the Mac Photos app. Import into LR Desktop and then sync to LR Classic.

 

- Use the Avalanche program, which many people have reported gives very good results importing from Aperture (avoiding the serious bugs with LR's importer plugin), though I haven't seen any reports how well it does importing from Apple Photos.
