P: Let us save photo custom order in library

I'm a wedding photographer and I use Lightroom Classic as my main post-rpoduction tool.

Today I lost my precious photo custom order, again. Why, really, why can't we save photo custom order??? Why I opened Lightroom and photo order has changed to File name? So, if I accidentally move a photo again, I loose all the previous reordering job. Why in the hell I just can't save a custom order per folder? Is this feature so hard to implement?
And please, don't tell me that the solution is to rename all photos after finishing the reordering job.
