P: Lock Zoom position default on (and stay on)

Please can we have our preference for "lock zoom position" save in Lightroom somehow?

 

I always want it on, and it always turns off in a new session. It's a small yet extremely annoying thing. Maybe a default setting in preferences?

    I think it must be at least 10 years since they finally introduced this feature (Lock zoom position). Since then, I've been hoping they would make it a sticky setting. No luck so far, which is a real pity - while the ability to remember the zoomed area for each photo might come in handy for specific cases, I feel like "Lock zoom position" should be, in fact, the default setting. Most of the time I don't really remember where I zoomed in each photo, I just want to compare the same area.
