P: MacBook Touch Bar support

Of the four current Macbook models at Apple.com, one has the touch bar (Macbook Pro 13") and three don't (Macbook Air, Macbook Pro 14" and 16", introduced last fall).

Several pundits speculate why the Macbook Pro 13" (introduced two weeks ago) has the Touch Bar, but they agree that it's not likely the Touch Bar will be available in future models:

MacBooks and MacBook Pros with touchbar were released in spring 2022, not sure you can say it's discontinued nor obsolete... c'mon Adobe !

Agreed. But the absence of the touch bar in new laptops reduces the incentive for Adobe to add support for it to LR.

Not on the 13" MacBook Pro M1. And this does not mean all the macs with this feature become obsolete all at once.

They have removed the usb-a connector, it doesn't mean all devices using a usb-a connector become "obsolete".

*Martin Hajek Thank you very much. I love what you have created. I would have considered paying for the BTT tool, which would allow me to use your fantastic creation, if the Touch Bar was here to stay. As it is, I'm really sorry that Apple seems to be dropping the Touch Bar from the next MacBook Pro's. If the rumours turn out to be wrong, I will definitely start using your preset once I have my new MacBook Pro.

I'm paying Adobe big money for LR as they promised continuous updates and bug fixes 🙂 They get free advice, feedback and bug reports, one could expect to see them being implemented. Soiler: don't get your hopes too high 😉
