When/will Adobe going to update Lightroom 6 to take advantage of the MacBook pro touch bar?  It has been a few months since Photoshop was updated...

Control sliders would be huge. Adjusting, say, white balance using a wide touch screen slider would be far more intuitive/provide finer control than using a mouse or trackpad on a slider on screen.

It would be awesome to use adjusting sliders for basic color correcting at least.

System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Function Keys -> add apps to show function keys in Touch Bar instead of application controls.

Thank you Stephen. That should have been obvious to me, but I completely missed it. So much more to learn about my brand new MacBook Pro.

FWIW F2 works for me to show function keys if I hold down "Fn" key first (as with physical function-key Macs in default state). But there's no option to show the function keys by default all the time on the Touch Bar.

Lightroom provides some keyboard shortcuts that do not work on a MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar. Keys like F2 are simply not available on the keyboard. But apart from certain shortcuts missing, I would love to be able to slide through the images, like I can do in iPhoto. Other shortcuts will help, but are not as badly needed, as a lot of actions in Lightroom are already available through keyboard shortcuts.

So, I would love sliding through the pictures, and shortcuts that are currently not available as they require function keys.

Add in hsl sliders and sliders for all the other settings like exposure, vibrance, etc. Maybe we can select one section with the mouse and control the slider on the touch bar! Definitely add filmstrip sliding too. Something along the lines of Apple's photo app filmstrip!(: Please!!!! The touch bar needs some serious compatibility with the Adobe programs!

We need a Touch bar, I bought Macbook pro just because of it. In Photoshop my productivity has increased a lot, and it will be a must for LR.

how has it been this without touch bar support?

Touch bar support would be great. Obvious use would be adjustment sliders in develop. Film strip and star/flag ratings in library would be useful.
