P: Make visibility of Healing outline more visible

First, let me say I've used Lightroom since it was born, so I'm well versed in LR Classic. I have an iMac and MacBook Pro both running Big Sur with LR vs 12.1.

I do not have this problem on the iMac, but on my MBP, I'm having a problem using the new content aware tool and the spot removal tool. In previous versions, the sample area and the fixed area were well defined, with the sample area having a slightly heavier line around it. Now, I can barely see an edge to what I'm selecting to be “fixed” with either tool. After using the spot removal tool, I can barely see either the fixed area or the sample area (yes, my cursor is over the icon), so I can't very easily move the sample area to improve what the tool did.

I've zoomed in, but that's seems to be even worse. On both computers, I have the Tool Overlay set to Auto — I've tried each setting with no difference.

Please, does anyone have a solution to get my edges back so I can see what I'm selecting?

The line indicating the selection should be black and white to aid visibility (i.e. black on outside edge and white on inside edge). However, I agree that it can be difficult to see against some background on laptops with retina type displays. At present, there is no solution/workaround.

If you wish, I can move this thread to 'Ideas'.

Thanks for answering. I can see the black & white lines on the iMac (which has a Retina display), but on the MBP, there is only a very faint white line. I don't remember this happening in previous versions of LR and it is annoying. I teach students LR with the MBP so I have to use it for that or I'd just use work on the iMac.

Yes, please move the thread to "Ideas."

Thanks again!
