P:(Masking) Make mask icons different based on type

When no mask is selected, all masks are represented by the same marker.

Having different icons would help identifying quickly which on is what.

The icons are already different when the mask is selected.

Can this icon be the same when the mask in unselected?

One might have two/several components but of different type in the same mask (e.g 1 Radial, 3 Linear) all set as add/primary.

To me it would be misleading to identify that whole mask using the icon of the first/bottom component, it would not represent the complexity of the situation.

I would rather have a "multiple components" edit pin like this when there is no clear "Primary Component".

I'd say the first one since it represents the original intent.

The rest (intersect) is to refine that first mask.

Like the idea. To clarify, when a mask has more than one component (brush, linear gradient, etc.) the marker should be the first component within that mask?  Or perhaps it should be the generic marker?

Three masks: brush, radial gradient, luminance range -- not in this order 😛
Which one is what? You need to click on it to see what's behind.
