P: Mobile Phone Which App Metadata

Since I'm using my iPhone more and more for photos, I am using a lot of different camera apps. It would be extremely helpful if LR Classic could show in the metadata which app was used to take a photo. That information is in the iOS Photos app but it does not import to LR Classic.

Many (most?) camera apps will record their identity in the EXIF:Software field, which you can view in LR in the Metadata > EXIF panel:

You can search that field using the Text criterion Searchable EXIF:

At least one camera app, Halide, doesn't leave any trace of itself in the file's metadata, however, and I haven't found any way to to identify its photos once they've left the phone.  The IOS Photos app says "Saved from Halide", but the Photos app also doesn't record that information in the file metadata, so it's not accessible outside of Photos.

Do all of your camera apps record their identify in EXIF:Software? If not, attach a sample JPEG to your reply here and I'll put it under the microscope.
