P: New suggested order for AI edits

We have been adapting to the suggested workflow. To better help us follow the order I suggest to switch positions of the Crop and Remove Icons. Since you suggest to use Remove first it would be helpful. Also flip these in the Remove tool because you suggest to do Distraction Removal first.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm going to stick to that suggested order but tweak a few things.

I tried a few tests. Since Lens Corrections applies at import I left it enabled. I've never had any performance issues with it enabled from the start. I applied Denoise AI first and then cropped. I figure why use the Remove toolset on things I may crop out later. I used a few tools in Remove. I then applied Adaptive Color, did some Global settings and went into Masking. I later tweaked some Global settings and the Crop.

The AI order icon did not illuminate and I didn't notice any issues. It would illuminate with my previous workflow and I had to reset the order, which typically didn't cause any obvious problems. I'm not sure how this effects the up-to-date pixels part. One time it did illuminte when I did some masking and resetting the AI order didn't help.

I'll try that editing sequence for a while and see how things go.

This is not possible. Edit order is ordained by the rendering architecture.

You are free to edit in whatever order you like. Realize that there will be a price in rendering accuracy and time spent rebuilding out-of-order edits. If that is acceptable to you, go for it.  The order is very specific for a reason - it ensures you are looking at accurate, up-to-date pixels and not having to rerun render time-consuming processes repeatedly.
