P: number x of y in Loupe info

When working on a set of images (be it a collection or previous import or all photographs) I would like to be able to see how far I am.
So a counter showing I'm working on photo 39 from 77 would give me a better clue of how much I have done and how much I still have to do, than looking at the position (and size) of the scroll bar underneath the film strip.

It was added in version 8.4 I believe. It was a great addition 🙂

I don't know when this happened, but Adobe listened!

Today I suddenly noticed that I can now see in the filmstrip the indexnumber.

Right clicking and going to View Options, you can turn the index number on/off

I am very happy with this.
No longer guesstimating.

When culling in FastRawViewer I don't have to guesstimate my progress.

Agreed. it would make sense to include the Index number in the information just above the filmstrip, which is visible in all modules and view types (Loupe & Grid). In the example shown above it could display as shown below.

#11 of 64 photos /1 selected /IMG_0697.CR2.

Thank you, Todd.
That is what I do now.
But it would be nice to have some sort of "progress tracker" in every module.

You can include an 'Index' number in the Library Loupe and Grid views and see the total number of photos in the selected folder or collection above the filmstrip. There's no way to include the 'Index' number in the Develop module view, but easy enough to switch to the Library module to check your progress.
