In the Print Module we should be able to "Print to TIFF", at 8-bit and 16-bit.

We can already print to JPEG but many would prefer to print to TIFF.

Now that we can take advantage GPU for export I think that printing to TIFF makes even more sense...if ever performance was the reason why it was never implemented.

Even in the era of digital publication and NFT there is still no equivalent to a print and being able to print to TIFF is vital.

I use Photoshop to create my print layout but mostly because the Print Module does not provide the ability to Print to TIFF and it's a real shame because the Print Module in LR is Easy o sue and provides all the necessary tools.

Printers will not accept DNG, there's zero reason to save a rendered image as DNG (which itself is a cousin of TIFF).

@TanyaThree

Printing to DNG is most unusual.

I am not even sure that printers will accept a DNG as file format.

I never used a DNG as file format to print, the thought never crossed my mind...perhaps some printers allow it (I admit my ignorance here)

TIFF is pretty much the format mainly used.

In Print>Print Job Adobe could add an option to go directly to Export. Then JPEG, TIFF, and DNG would be available, metadata would be copied as desired, and filenames customizable. The existing JPEG option is too limited (no metadata) as well as no TIFF currently.

We can Export images to TIFF.

That we can't export a layout or print ready from the Print Module, can't be 'big enginnering'. And yet, this has been a request for years.

@DdeGannes

I already have Mogrify 2.0

It's really a good Plug-in but it does not provide a preview and there are many limitations and complications when using it (that I will not list here)

Print Module is really much better than any Plug-in we have now (to me it is even easier and intuitive than Photoshop since it has many easy to use options)

I have also upvoted the request. While waiting try the LrC export plug-in Mogrify/2, which adds unique features that you can use as a substitute for the print module to create tiff files to send to a third party service.
