why is Adobe incapable or unwilling to implement a more powerful Ken Burns effect feature set in Lightroom slideshows?

It seems incredibly simple to do with the resources Adobe posesses,

I firmly believe that the Ken Burns effect is one of the most powerful and evocative tools in a slide show presentation. The current implementation of this in LIghtroom feature is laughably limited.

Common Adobe! you can do better - Apple's Aperture had a far superior Ken Burns capability some 10 years ago.

one of the most important effects in any visual presentation involving still images is the Ken Burns effect? why doesn't Lightroom have that? and when will it get it?

and ability to select starting and ending frame areas for the effect for each slide (so can also choose zooming in or out)

there are plenty of other Ken Burns related features that woudl make the slide shows really cool - but can be left for future

as it is, without an effective Ken Burns effect I simply stopped doing slide shows in Lightroom - use FotoMagico - but that is just an added hassle (and cost) for simple slide shows

I fully agree. Especially the ever same speed throughout the whole show, not slowing down when approaching the end of a slide, no way to make it pause for a customizeable time to take in the whole picture - these global adjustments alone would greatly improve the show and bring Adobe up to par with other programs.
