P: publish collections from publish services are not in the "go to collection" menu

the publish service collections do not show up in the right click menu "go to collection". I'm finding it baffling that there is distinction between normal collections and the ones inside publish services. They are all collections, with the same rules etc.

currently there is no way to check if a particular photo was published through one of the publish services. being able to see that is belongs to publish service collections wouls help with that.

I would like to be able to see if a photo was published and where. The information is there it just needs to be linked. Some 3rd party publish services add custom metadata to photos to let them be tracked but this is not standarised and sadly quite rare.

The web-server cache didn't completely clear yesterday when I released the new versions of Any Source and a couple other plugins (I am often mystified by Wordpress), and as a result you downloaded the old version. Please try version 1.21:

Sorry for the inconvenience.

the plugin is pretty cool but doesn't show smart collections from publish services. is there any way to add them? in this case I'm using smugmug publish service but it probably doesn't matter.

I updated the Any Source plugin's Go To Collection command to include published smart collections:

It previously included smart collections but for some reason not published smart collections.

You can use this as a replacement for the built-in Go To Collection command. The plugin page explains how to assign a keyboard shortcut to the command.

you are right John. I use 99% of smart collections in publish services and didn't realise that this was the problem. I guess I need t ochange the title of this post as this is still an issue and is even bigger than I thought as there are more collections missing in the right click menu.

Are you working with smart published collections? LR does show published collections in both right-click > Go To Collection and by clicking the collections badge in the lower-right corner of the thumbnail:

However, these commands don't display smart collections (published or not).
