P: Same as previous shouldn’t apply to lens profiles

This is perhaps more of an oversight than a bug.

Currently when shooting tethered the "same as previous" also carries over the automatically selected lens profile.

This means that if you change lenses during the shoot all the new photos will have the wrong lens profile applied.

While it's easy to rectify later, this really seems like it shouldn't be the case.

At the very minimum there should be the option to select "ignore previous lens profile" or something similar.

I was just wondering if there's an update on this.

I did a shoot with the latest update and this issue ended up causing a lot of problems today as well.

Hey @grayj7988641,

Thanks for raising this — that’s a really solid observation. You’re absolutely right: the “Same as Previous” behavior, carried over the lens profile, can cause unexpected results when switching lenses during a tethered shoot.

While it technically works as designed—copying all settings from the previously selected image—I agree it makes sense to have more granular control here. An option to exclude or ignore the lens profile (especially in tethered workflows where gear changes are common) would definitely improve flexibility.

I’ll pass this feedback along to the product team for consideration. In the meantime, your best bet is to manually update the lens profile when switching lenses or use Sync selectively to avoid applying outdated lens settings.

I really appreciate you sharing this. Feedback like yours helps shape how we evolve the app to fit real-world workflows better. 🙌

Best,
