P: "Select without Subfolders" - needed for creating hierarchy in a big folder

It's a pretty common task that -- when a folder gets big-- you start creating SUBFOLDERS underneath it to help you organize.   Lots of different ways people do this....

Example 1 -- <EPS Varsity Frisbee 2023>
        Game 1 - vs Northwest

        Game 2 - vs SAAS

Example 2 -- <Smith wedding weekend>

        DONE - already edited

IN PROGRESS - keep tweaking  (haven't finished individually applying adobe AI noise reduction!)

        TO DO - not touched

In both these cases, it's REALLY HARD to figure out WHICH ITEMS IN THE ROOT have not yet been filed in a subfolder.

Solution:  add a menu command to right-click for "Select without Subfolders" .. which only shows the images IN THE ROOT folder.

(Credit for this idea to Microsoft Digital Image Library .. a great old-and-dead photo mgmt app.  :))

I'm not suggesting a mode here -- just an action.   Eg, it wouldn't be sticky .. it's literally "right now, select this folder, WITHOUT ITS SUBFOLDERS".    Nothing to remember .. just an in-the-moment decision.

I am glad it is Global.  It would be a mess to keep track of which folders had it option enabled if it was local to a folder.

Thanks Bob!    I will definitely use that to help with this scenario.

That said:  I still would lobby for this feature, on two counts:
- the current feature you describe is modal and global.  If it's ON, then sometimes you will think you "lost photos" because they won't be shown.  A per-folder "in-the-moment" option is less-likely to cause lost-photo sense
- discoverability.  The first place many people look for stuff like this (in my experience as a user-experience designer) is on a right-click menu.

But again -- thank you for the info!  Still totally useful!
