P: Suggesting a smart collection filter criterion for "develop edits" date

Looking through the fora here and on lightroom queen there have been a substatial number of posts looking to achieve smart collectoions that include a filter for "edited int he last n weeks/days".  At present, this does not generate meaningful results because the current "edit date" criterion is modified by any minor change to metadata (such as opening the file or some LR updates etc) AS WELL AS genuine image edits.

I would find it enormously useful if there was a develop edit date that indicated the last date when an image was altered (covering raw files and also psd, tif or dng saved back to LR).

The smart collections are an imprtant tool and deserve a little more attention as a sorting and filtering mechanism - this is an important example

I think that's a very good idea.

The Any Filter plugin can do a pretty good of that by searching History steps for an "edit" step that occurred in the last n days:

This query won't find DNGs created by Photo Merge, but that could be added to the query by looking for DNG's whose names contain "pano" or "hdr" with an Import history step in the last n days.

Obviously not as simple as having it built-in to smart collections, but it gets the job done and only has to be written once.
