This would be very useful for underwater photographers who use Lightroom Classic as their main RAW workflow and want to remove backscatter without having to export every image to Photoshop. Backscatter removal is especially important in underwater macro and wide-angle photography, where particles in the water often appear as bright spots across many images from the same dive. Ideally, the tool should work non-destructively inside Lightroom Classic, preferably as a Develop module tool, masking-based tool, or plugin-compatible workflow. It would make the editing process much faster for photographers who need to clean up large batches of underwater images while keeping the full Lightroom Classic catalog, RAW, rating, and batch-editing workflow. A Lightroom Classic-compatible backscatter removal tool would be a major benefit for underwater photographers and would reduce the need to round-trip many images through Photoshop only for this specific correction.
