P: Tone & Effects adjacent in mask adjustment panel

I might be alone in thinking this, but I'd love to see the Tone adjustments and the Effects (Texture, Clarity, Dehaze) adjacent in the Mask Adjustment Panel. In other words, I'd like the Effects panel moved up (and renamed) to sit just below the Tone adjustment panel.

IMO the "Effects" are mis-grouped and share more in common with Tonal (contrast) adjustments than, say, grain and lens blur.

Thoughts?

...moreover, the terminology LRCC is using to categorize these tools is inconsistent. In the Develop module the grouping is named "Presence", which I think is more accurate than the category name given to the same group of adjustments when masking, where they become "Effects".

The location of "Presence" is more logical in relation to the location of "Tone" when making Develop adjustments. That "Presence" becomes "Effects" and sits far below the "Tone" when using masking adjustments, is inconsistent and illogical.

Yes, it is generally confusing to have the masking panels in a different order, with different names, and with editing tools in different places than in the regular panels.

I'd prefer to have panels with the same names as the regular panels and containing the same editing tools, with the exception of Clarity that should me moved to the Basic panel.

And it should be possible to rearrange the panels as you can with the regular panels.

I think this inconsistency is because of LrC and ACR/LR "sharing" many of the new panel designs and not the older ones where LrC has kept them.

I'm pleased to know that I'm not alone in this preference. I would debate that the dehaze slider should lie within the contrast family, too as its effect is closely related.

In any case, I hope that this suggestion will be considered. It's a logical, simple re-design.

I support this.

It's particularly annoying to scroll down to find Clarity, which I use quite a lot – much more than Contrast.

When Clarity was first introduced, I believe it was located in the Basic panel (which for some reason is called Tone under masking), which is where I think it belongs.

I consider Texture, Dehaze and Grain to be effects, and I don't mind if they are in the Effects panel..
