P: Virtual copy filenames not incremented when exported

This drives me crazy...
When exporting a bunch of images including virtual copies, setting filename such as custom name + sequence, virtual copy sequence numbers are not incremented.
Example: Original file exported as M.Mrs.Doe-008.jpg and then the matching virtual copy exported as M.Mrs.Doe-008-2.jpg
Renaming the original files before exporting is useless as virtual copy filenames depend on the original filename.
But why exporting photos + VC doesn't follow a real sequencing rule ?

I'm not sure I understand your request and because I type this on my iPad I can't try an export myself. You are exporting two versions of the same file, so M.Mrs.Doe-008 and M.Mrs.Doe-008-2 makes sense to me. Or is that not what happens? And what would you want to happen if you exported two images (M.Mrs.Doe-008 and M.Mrs.Doe-009) and had two virtual copies of each file as well (so you would export four files)? How are these four files named now, and what would you propose?
