In Lightroom Classic, in Develop Module, using Transform panel. On wider angle photos correcting distorted perspectives of buildings I make use of the Guided function a lot. The screen grab shows what always happens: I end up with two triangles of blank check-pattern areas that Lightroom considers outside of the image. Having to take the image into Photoshop, select the areas with no content, and then fill them with seamless matching imagery, flatten the image and save back to Lightroom Classic is a chore.
The Adobe Lightroom Classic panorama creation tool allows for infilling in a content aware fashion. Cannot this facility also be extended to Transform, via an additional check box in the transform panel labelled as “Infill Resultant Blank Areas”? I am certain many users would love this feature. It would make transform much more useful.
Using the Auto button seems to always crop in the image, but using the Guided button retains the image pixels, which to me is far far more preferable. Please consider this. I am sure it would not be that difficult to implement.
Thank you for a great app I use every day.
