XMP sidecar files to be availeble for DNG

DNG should be able to have sidecar .xmp file for the edits we do in LR classic.

it would speed up the backing up process

it would preserve the integrity of the files

it would preserve the life span of ssd and hdd

it would make the workflow with different raw files from different brands more consistent.

It would prevent the original creation date of the file from being changed, thereby avoiding mistakes when synchronizing or overwriting files with the same name but from different years.Since synchronization is primarily based on the file name and creation date, this is particularly important for professional photographers. We only have 9,999 numbers available in the file naming system, so it is common for RAW and DNG files from different years to have the same numerical file name. In these cases, the original creation date is the only reliable parameter the computer has to distinguish between them and prevent the wrong file from being overwritten.

I am hoping this discussion gets some support the only threat on the topic is 11 years old and last activity is 6 year old. I really hope Adobe bring this easy feature to LR
