Erx: Tethered Shooting for Lightroom Mobile with Auto-Import Presets

I would like Lightroom Mobile to support tethered shooting with connected cameras.

The user should be able to connect a camera to an iPhone, iPad or Android device and have every newly captured image automatically imported into Lightroom Mobile. During this process, the user should be able to select a default import preset that is automatically applied to all incoming images.

This would be very useful for portrait, business, product and event photographers who want a lightweight mobile workflow without carrying a laptop. It would allow immediate image review, faster client previews, consistent editing through presets and a more professional mobile-first shooting workflow.

Suggested options:

  • connect camera via USB-C, cable, Wi-Fi or supported camera connection
  • auto-import new images into a selected album
  • apply a default preset on import
  • support RAW, JPEG or RAW+JPEG workflows
  • optional cloud sync after import
  • import status and error feedback
  • optional live view / camera controls if supported

This would make Lightroom Mobile much more useful for professional on-location shooting.
