September 2026: “The Horse at the Window”by Celeste GuidiceAbout the ImageThis month I'm sharing one of my favorite barn shots — a curious horse leaning out of a Dutch door window, taking in the world outside. I love the contrast between the weathered gray shingles and his warm bay coat, and that little white blaze running down his face gives him so much personality. There's something about the quiet curiosity in his eye that makes this feel like the perfect end-of-summer image to remix.Have fun with the Remix and be sure to share yours! I'll announce my favorites at the end of the month.I can't wait to see your take on it! 😄 About Me: My name is Celeste Guidice. I've been an Adobe Community Expert since 2016 and founded the Nashua Adobe User Group back in 2012. I'm a commercial photographer and Lightroom coach based in New Hampshire, and I love sharing my images with this community every month. Lightroom v9.5 Is Live! Extend Photos with Generative Expand, Refine Masks with Precision, and Edit More Smoothly The August 2026 update to Adobe Lightroom (version 9.5) introduces AI-powered photo expansion, more precise masking controls, and performance enhancements to help photographers and creators work more efficiently and stay in flow. What’s New:Lightroom (version 9.5) brings more control and flexibility to everyday creative workflows with the introduction of Generative Expand, one of the release's most significant additions. This new Firefly-powered feature lets you extend photos beyond their original borders and intelligently generate content that blends naturally with the existing image, making it easier to recover poorly framed shots, create new aspect ratios for social media and marketing formats, reconstruct missing edges, or fill transparent gaps left behind after perspective corrections. Photographers can choose between Firefly Fill & Expand, which generates multiple
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the feature will help your workflow. Des

This post applies to the Project Indigo iOS camera app. Adobe Labs is excited to share an early look at Project Indigo, an iPhone camera app we've started to develop, to get feedback from the photography community. The app offers full manual controls, a more natural ("SLR-like") look, and high image quality in both JPEG and raw formats. It also introduces some new photographic experiences not available in other camera apps. For more information on the underlying technology, please refer to this Project Indigo blog post. Before you start with Project Indigo We recommend using Project Indigo on iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max or newer devices.(Also supported are 12 Pro/Pro Max, 13 Pro/Pro Max, and all 14-series devices.) You should have at least 1GB of storage space left for the app, the downloadable AI Models inside the app, and for captured photos. Download the app from the App Store. Check out the Project Indigo FAQ, which is updated reg

Assisted Culling is now generally available in Lightroom TL; DR: Assisted Culling has graduated from Early Access to General Availability. It gives you a fast, reviewable first pass on large shoots: it surfaces your strongest frames and sets aside the obvious rejects, so you spend less time comparing near-duplicates. You stay in control: review everything, adjust the thresholds, and override any call. If you tried it back in October 2025, it's substantially more accurate now, especially for wedding, event, group, and portrait work. We'd love for you to give it another look and tell us what you think in this thread. What it does Open an album or collection, run a cull, and Assisted Culling analyzes your images against the criteria you choose: Subject Sharpness, Eye Sharpness, Eyes Open, exposure, and more. It marks Selects and Rejects, shows you why behind every call, and leaves the final decision to you. How far it's come since Early Access February 2026: Expanded from individual po
Lightroom Mobile for iOS v11.5.1 is stuck on “Importing – 1 pending” whenever I try to open/import any photo from the Device tab. This started recently. Previously, I could open photos from my iPhone and edit them normally without any delay. The issue happens with every photo I try. The import remains pending and the photo does not open for editing.I have already tried:- Restarting the iPhone- Signing out and back into my Adobe account- Offloading and reinstalling Lightroom- Testing different photos- Checking Lightroom Web for sync issues- Confirming I have plenty of Adobe Cloud storage available- Testing my internet connection (around 86 Mbps)The problem still persists.Device: iPhoneLightroom version: 11.5.1 (7C3095/251)Please advise if this is a known issue or if there is a way to reset the stuck import/sync queue.
Lightroom 11.5.20 on my iPad and Lightroom Iphone ( same version) crashes every time I try to open Presets. I have already reinstalled the app and updated iPad and Iphone, but the problem remains.I have a crash .ips report from today showing an EXC_BREAKPOINT/SIGTRAP on both devices and assertion failure inside Lightroom. Hello Adobe Support Team,I’m experiencing an ongoing issue with the Denoise feature in Lightroom (cloud version) that is affecting my workflow. The Denoise tool works inconsistently—it will function at times and then stop working without any clear pattern. When it fails, it either does nothing when selected or gets stuck processing and never completes. This inconsistency is causing delays and making it difficult to stay on schedule with client work.Details:• App: Adobe Lightroom (Cloud version, not Classic)• Platform: Windows• Issue frequency: Intermittent but frequent• Impact: Significant slowdown and workflow delaysTroubleshooting steps I’ve already tried:• Restarting Lightroom and my computer• Logging out and back into Creative Cloud• Checking for updates• Attempting the process on different photosThe issue continues despite these steps. I rely heavily on Denoise for my editing workflow, so I’d appreciate assistance in identifying the cause or a permanent fix. Please let me know if yo
In the Presets panel, under Recommended, I do not see the preset categories (Warm, Dark, Bright, Cinematic, HDR, etc.) that appear in Adobe's documentation and other users' screenshots. The app is fully updated, I've already compared it with Lightroom on my phone, and the feature is missing only on my iPad. I'd like to know if this is a bug, a staged rollout, or an account-specific issue.
In my workflow, I use the Cloud tab for active/recent projects, then offload albums to my NAS via the “Archive Album Locally” feature. Today I was hoping to go back and clean up some files in those archived albums. I pulled them up in the Local Tab, filtered to the photos I wanted to delete, and tried to delete them, but Lightroom refuses to. It seems like this is because the files live on my NAS (mounted via SMB in Finder), which means there’s no “Trash” feature supported, only permanent deletion. Lightroom seems to have a requirement that its “delete” feature must move the file to trash, which seems a bit silly to me. The reason I’m using Lightroom for this is because I want to delete only the RAW files for photos I didn’t end up selecting/editing (delete anything with no LR stars or flags). Lightroom is the only program that can read that culling metadata from the DNG and XMP files in those archived folders on the NAS, which means it’s the only way I can think of to do these deletio
Many often times I find my Lightroom running slow or sluggish on network package sending and receiving… It appears stalled so then I noticed these other tabs involving other peoples work which I have no interest in seeing and you are forcing this into an application that is licensed primarily for professionals so do everyone a favor and remove this feature/horrible idea from the creative cloud ecosystem and just make another platform because it does not belong in side of light room
I am using Lightroom (Cloud) on a Windows 11 PC with plenty of ram etc. I have noticed that since the last update (9.4.1) that when I am in the Masking tools that if I create a mask (any style of mask) and make any changes to any of the sliders if I then create another mask of any style it automatically applies all the slider changes to the next mask I create. I have tried to use “Reset Sliders Automatically” setting that doesn’t make any difference. I have also noticed that once this happens that it will not allow me to right click (PC Version) on the new mask just created to delete it. I have to go up to the EDIT on the main menu and then click “Undo New Mask”. This is very frustrating and time consuming to have to manually reset all sliders. I have been using this Lightroom (Cloud) a few years now and have never had any of these types of issues with the masking tool. Am I doing something wrong or am I correct in thinking the controls of the masking tools have changed?
When attempting to use the Denoise feature in Lightroom, I will check the box to turn the feature on. The progress bar will show up with the percentage and it will either fully complete or abort before 100%. Once the progress bar disappears, there is no change to the photo and the denoise checkbox is still unmarked and the slider is still greyed out. My computer and Lightroom software are up to date and I have even tried using previous installments of Lightroom.
I am using the Adobe integration within ChatGPT with my Adobe Lightroom cloud catalogue.ChatGPT can successfully search my Lightroom catalogue and Adobe returns the expected assets, including filenames, asset IDs, file types, dates, orientation information and Adobe rendition URLs.The Adobe search-result interface can also display thumbnails of the Lightroom images to me.However, when ChatGPT attempts to obtain a model-readable preview of any Lightroom asset through the Adobe integration, the preview-resolution step fails.Adobe returns: previewUrl: null renditionUrl: null downloadUrl: null As a result, ChatGPT can search and identify photographs in my Lightroom catalogue but cannot actually inspect or analyse the image pixels.File formats testedThis has been reproduced with both: Fujifilm .RAF RAW files Standard .JPG / image/jpeg files Therefore, this does not appear to be related specifically to Fujifilm RAW support. For example, Lightroom successfully returned JPEG assets includ
Eu troquei de celular recentemente. Instalei novamente o ligthroom.
DescriptionUnder Preferences > Cache > Storage location for originals, there are supposed to be the buttons “Reset” and “Browse...” to change the specified path. However, if the current path is too long, these buttons go out of the window. See the screenshots below. This can be worked around by scrolling horizontally to see the buttons, but I highly doubt this is intentional. I’m not even sure it’s possible unless you have something like a Magic Mouse or MX Master. In any case, I thought I had trapped myself permanently with this bug while reproducing it to write this report until I accidentally scrolled sideways. Expected ResultThe buttons to change the storage location are always visible. Actual ResultThe buttons go outside the window where they cannot be seen nor pressed without horizontal scrolling. Steps to ReproduceGo to Preferences > Cache Change the “storage location for originals” to somewhere with a long path (i.e. many characters). ScreenshotsDefault path chosen. “B
Hello, I’m encountering a weird one here. I have Lightroom installed on my (work) laptop and was able to edit my photos until recently.I don’t know what changed but I can no longer edit photos, the settings are not loading and stay disabled. Here’s what I tried so far.Check Lightroom on my Mac Mini and iPad - no issues Signed out of Creative Cloud on my work laptop and signed back in - didn’t resolve the issue Uninstall and re-install Lightroom - didn’t resolve the issue Uninstall again, clear some of the stuff that remains on the disk (e.g. Library\Preferences\Adobe, removed the photo library etc..) and then re-install - didn’t resolve the issueHas anyone encountered the same issue? Thanks! Here’s the technical details from Lightroom on this laptop:Lightroom version: 9.5.1 arm64 [ 20260815-1945-84a45bf ] (Aug 15 2026)NGL Version: 1.43.0.5WF Version: 8.5 20b9f90VF Version: 1.0.164HIL Version: 40501CAI Version: adobe_api/1.66.1PH Version: 6.1.1Adobe GSDK Version: 1.4.0.213CR Version: 29.5
used to use HDR editing and one day about 2 weeks ago it stopped working and says it's not compatible with my Pixel 10 Pro XL. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps.
The UI around rating/label photos is unusable and brakes my workflow. I could not fast and easy filter images by the rating attached. So I switching back to LR Classic.
Current search at Adobe Exchange for LrC plugin is over loaded with thousands of presets packages which does not allow users to find other practical LrC plugins or functional extensions.Add filter for Adobe Exchange to hide all the preset/presets packages, so we can explore some real useful plugins. Current filter options, and categories are not possible to solve this, as there are presets listed in all the categories, swamping rest of the plugins. https://exchange.adobe.com/apps/browse/cc?listingType=plugins&page=1&product=LTRM&sort=RELEVANCE
I am in the terrible situation, where my dumb a** unintentionally deleted Mobile Downloads file, when trying to clear out space on my macbook. Now my LrC cannot find the files… I am looking for a way to restore/fix this mistake. Does any one have any tips or ideas? I am not very familiar with the lightroom eco system, as you might’ve guessed already…Hope any of you know anything of thisThanks in advance, and kind regardsAnders, a very stressed creative...
So when using the Lightroom mobile‘s camera hdr feature it creates three dng exposures, merging them to one dng with extended dynamic range for editing, which works miracles with enough light. The point where I get stuck is creating three exposures with 3 raw images (-3, 0, +3 EV) in my camera and trying to find a way to get anything close to a similar result as the in app camera hdr feature by somehow merging them into a single file with extended dynamic range and editing it in LrM.Since my options are an iPhone 11 and a MacBook Pro from 2010 with upgraded hardware neither apps like Brackt on iOS nor programs like Affinity Photo on macOS could help creating a merged tiff or raw image that would’ve had a decent quality or would’ve been able to be imported into Lightroom Mobile for editing.Besides of buying a new laptop or installing a more recent macOS, is there any options to create a somewhat similar raw hdr merge with camera files like raf from Fuji in order to edit within Lightroom
My lightroom isn’t responding when I want to move or delete a remove section. It keeps freezing. When I want to change the opacity, it has no problem doing that, but pauses or lags at other tasks. It has been doing that in the edit section too. For example, just clicking on the edit section to change from the remove tool will take a while. Has anyone else experienced this or know what to do?
