Lightroom Mobile backup to iCloud
At least once a week we see the same problem here. Somebody uses the free version of Lightroom Mobile, gets a new phone or reinstalls Lightroom for some other reason, and so they lose all their photos. If they are lucky they can restore the entire phone from a backup, but if not, then their photos are lost forever. That should be unacceptable for Adobe. Even if somebody does not pay for the app, then there should still be a way to avoid catastrophic photo loss. We are talking about people's memory, for crying out loud!
I think the solution is simple, and should be implemented asap. Apple allows apps to backup user data to iCloud Drive (and I assume Google has something similar). Lots of apps, paid or free, use that option. Adobe should also implement this. I understand that Adobe does not want to create a free alternative to the Premium subscription this way, but it does not have to be that. The iCloud backup could be original photos only, for example, so no edits and no presets. It could also be just smart previews, so the user does not get a true backup, but at least a way to recover something. Just a crude way to at least avoid a complete disaster, but not an alternative for getting the Premium subscription.
