P: 3rd Party Plugin Support for Lightroom Desktop (External Editors)

Please add Plugin support for Lightroom CC! Ability to seamlessly use plugins like Topaz Denoise or Aurora HDR are the only thing missing for me in lightroom CC. Exporting, editing in other app, exporting again and importing back to lightroom is a huge pain.

I want plugin support so bad that I've tried a few times to "downgrade" to Classic, but that's a non-starter since it means all of my carefully curated albums and tags are lost. So we've still got no plugins, but have no path back to the platform that does support plugins 😞

This one is a huge deal in my opinion, other than the fact that it will allow us to make all of our work orchastrated through LR CC and use it as a catalog that is synced with the cloud (including RAW files) and a better interface the biggest let down i think that this is open for a few years now and LR CC doesn't even have a descent integration with PS... you can only open one photo in PS, at least add the option to open the photos in layers like we have with LR Classic.

A few issues I have with classic, I'm not a professional but I still find this missing feature a big deal

1. The UI of classic is outdated

2. Classic can't sync RAW files to the cloud

3. All the tagging and keyword options in CC are great

While I'm happy that more features are moving to LR CC it would be amazing to see plugins there, especially after the community has been begging for it for years now...

I see this in the ideas forum but don't see a response to it.  I changed from Classic to CC and didn't realize it didn't support plugins.  This is a pretty big deal.  Adobe is often a step or two behind the smaller companies and it would be nice to be able to use things like Topaz without needing to work around the cloud version of LIghtroom.  Seamless syncing between Classic and CC would be a clunky, but workable solution.  For the short term, I can just edit in Photoshop to use plug ins but I really shouldn't need to do this when you have the problem addressed in Classic.

I have just changed over to Lightroom (Local) from Lightroom Classic, and love it.  Much better for me, however I don't see anywhere to add Plug Ins (eg. DxO Pure RAW III, Topaz Photo AI etc).  I used this everyday with Lightroom Classic and I am really missing it with Lightroom (when using the 'Local' tab).

If I have missed where it is hidden, I'd love to know, otherwise, it would be wonderful if Adobe Developers could please add it in.

No, you haven't missed it.....Lightroom simply does not yet support plug-ins.

Wow! That seems a massive omission then! Of course Photoshop does, but
not the DxO Pure RAW III plug in (Topaz - yes).

Hopefully Adobe will listen and add this feature to a new update then 🤔 🤔

Specified for Android since it may not be allowed by Apple on iPad etc since apps are restricted from running downloaded code etc, no such restrictions on Android etc. I recently switched to Gakaxy S9 Ultra tab from an ipad pro since it just works better (cloud sync actually works while in other apps or the screen is off etc). Plugin support would be great, even if it was only for a new category of UXP plugins targeting Lightroom Mobile. 99% of my editing has been on Lightroom iPad (and now Android) for the last 4 years.

Since Lightroom Android and for iPad are a bit different already (at least in interface) and no Photoshop etc, I don't see the problem in having features that wouldn't be available on the ipad version even just as a tech preview. I'd be interesting in creating my own plugin if it was supported.

I can't find a way to edit my post or delete the thread and start over - my request is specifically for Android rather than the existing CC plugin request - so to add context while full plugin support and bringing over Topaz etc would be amazing, even if it was only possible to support uxp plugins made specifically for Lightroom mobile would be amazing and a killer feature that would let users/tinkerers expand functionality, and some commercial plugin makers may end up on board - of course any plugin features that affect the image won't appear on Lightroom Web, and won't appear in Lightroom CC Desktop - unless the same plugin is installed - the plugin metadata could potentially be synced still? But if it would still only stay on the device only that would still be incredibly handy to have.

Another example: the user making a plugin to connect to your site or content management system to push photos etc

Hi, I've wanted to switch to Cloud-based Lightroom for over a year, but because it doesn't support plugins like Negative Lab Pro, I can't commit to the transition. For someone who scans film at home, having Negative Lab Pro is a necessity but I also want to have all the amazing features of Cloud-based Lightroom available to me. Can we expect plugin support in the near future?

Hi there!

I would be elated if Adobe app developers would consider adding the plug-in feature to Lightroom. This feature is available in Lightroom Classic, but not the newer Lightroom (Cloud).

I switched over from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom years ago, and I will never go back! Lightroom is so clean, easy, and I LOVE how seamlessly it to use with Lightroom Mobile for social media management. I'm a professional wedding photographer and would really love to take advantage of all the new AI editing softwares coming out, many of which offer a Lightroom plug-in.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD PLUG-INS TO LIGHTROOM (CLOUD) AND SAVE US BUSY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER HOURS OF EDITING!

PLEASE ADOBE I BEG OF YOU TO ADD PLUGIN SUPPORT TO LIGHTROOM (CLOUD VERSION)!

I made the switch years ago and I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of Lightoom and Lightroom mobile EXCEPT the one giant flaw there there is no plugin option available for things like ai editing tools, auto publishing to online galleries, ect...

PLEASE MAKE IT SO!
