P: Ability to change EXIF capture date/time

I am first time user of Adobe Lightroom, so Lightroom CC is a fresh start to me. So I imported my photos I stored locally but some of them were imported without capture date/time and file creation was used instead. Not a big deal in case of like 20 pictures. I could fix this manually but in fact I can NOT. Capture date/time is not editable. WTF? Please fix this very, very soon! Thanks.

This is a mandatory feature for a product that is intended to be the ultimate database for all our photos!  I'm a bit shocked that it is missing, to be honest.

I, too, have just recently subscribed to the CC Photography plan and am new to Lightroom.  But from what I've read, it seems to me like you really need to add back the whole Metadata menu / feature set that was in Classic.  As I mentioned above, if we're really going to hand over control of our entire photo library to Lightroom CC (including uploading directly from the camera), it has to be able to format every image properly, including EXIF data.

I like that Lightroom CC automatically sorts photos by capture date. However, I have almost 700 photos in my library that have no capture date and I can't seem to add a date to those photos. I also have a few scanned photos that have the wrong date attached and I can't modify those dates either. I don't know that it's possible to do that with this version; if not, that's a feature I'd really like to see with the next update.

good question. Until LRCC has this function, I'd assume one could download all 'offending' pics and vids change their dates using a 3rd party tool. then reupload the photos/vids.

Has anyone tried this yet?

This is something I really need too!!!
In LR Classic I could store the pictures in separate folders (by year/month in my case), but now I always have hundred of pic/videos with wrong date (e.g. year 2027) on top of the timeline view!!!!

You could even do this with Adobe Revel so hopefully will come to LrCC soon.

Just migrated a catalogue and one of the albums is out by a year (my fault). Is there any way to change it? Say if I download the files locally and edit the EXIF on the files directly in Finder?
