P: Ability to copy/sync settings/adjustments across a group of photos

It seems that I am unable to copy or sync adjustments to multiple images in the new LRCC? I just imported/uploaded my first job with over 1200 RAW files, and need to set my base contrast/saturation/sharpening to all the RAW files before I begin my select edits. For some reason my "paste edit settings" is greyed out when I have multiple images selected. I'm assuming this may be some sort of user error on my part, there is no way a professional photo editing tool would not allow the use of base settings applied to a group of photos. However even when I go back to "add photos", there is no option to apply a preset on import like in the old Lightroom? Adobe please help! LRCC is obviously useless to me if I have to Ctrl/Copy Ctrl/Paste 1200 times a day... Thank you,

Hi Everyone, I came here from Google as this was the top search result when searching "sync settings lightroom cc".

I was able to figure out how to sync settings across multiple photos with one command (on the windows version of lightroom cc). If you have an entire sequence of photos (say a timelapse) and you want to edit them all with the same settings, just edit the first photo then select it and go to the photo menu and select "copy edit settings". then select all the other photos in the sequence and use the command ctrl+shift+v and it will copy the settings to all of the remaining photos. it took about a minute to copy to 255 photos.

hope this helps others who are looking for this feature.

> cmd/v ... >cmd/v ... > cmd/v ... >cmd/v ... > cmd/v ... >cmd/v ... > cmd/v ... >cmd/v ... > cmd/v ... >cmd/v ... > cmd/v ... >cmd/v ... > cmd/v ... >cmd/v ... etc... Oh, and you’ll have to wait about a half second between each image. Doesn’t seem like a big deal until you’re working with a few hundred at a time.

For any photographer who batch edits regularly, this is pretty frustrating. In the studio, I typically shoot 1 stop underexposed and batch correct that plus a few other adjustments in Lr Classic so I can get a sense of what my images look like. Batch editing I s something I really can’t do without but never thought to check to see if it was possible in Lr CC - it’s such a fundamental part of LR Classic, it seems a pretty safe assumption it would be possible in CC. .

I bought a 12.9 in iPad Pro last week thinking I could edit directly on images from anywhere. After playing around for a week and getting used to editing this way I’m psyched! It’s fast and fun! Then I uploaded a shoot only to discover that there is no batch editing because I can’s select multiple images and paste my adjustments. But I can paste them one at a time? What?

I can’t believe this thread was started a year ago and this issue has not been resolved. Can someone please tell me why Adobe can’t/won’t address this? Is it a hard thing to do? I’m genuinely curious.

Thanks for that shortcut! That'll be a huge time saver.

I thought it was weird that pasting to multiple photos was hidden because I thought it was the default behavior for Lightroom Classic. I went back to Classic to test it, though, and discovered that it only pastes settings to one photo.

It was actually the Synchronize Settings feature I was thinking of that syncs settings across multiple photos. That's what's missing in Lightroom CC.

It's in my book. I don't think they publicized it because it has potential to bite people.

That works! Thank you Victoria! I wonder why this is hidden/secret? I just went through all the help/tutorial materials that Adobe has for Ligthroom CC online, and I can't find this mentioned anywhere. Thanks again,

There’s a secret shortcut that allows you to paste the settings to multiple selected photos in Detail view, but be careful if your Filmstrip is hidden, as you might not realize that multiple photos are selected. The secret shortcut is Ctrl-Shift-V (Windows) / Cmd-Shift-V (Mac).

This is pretty much what I am experiencing here in this topic: Lightroom CC: "Grid view" vs "Film strip view" confusing UX

I just saw your previous comment about the feature being added to grid view, which I was unaware of because I've never tried to copy and paste settings while in grid view.

I want it in detail view, though, so I can copy and paste right after editing a photo without having to go back and forth between views.

Er, Chris, which bit? Paste to multiple is already in the CC desktop app.

THIS. This is my biggest complaint about Lightroom CC vs Classic. Adobe, Please bring this to CC.
