There is no option to disable the function of "Eject Memory Card after Import" for Lightroom CC (not Lightroom CC classic). How could I solve it?

I'm trying to do the opposite in LR Classic - I don't see the "Eject after import" option anymore. Any idea how to keep it?

Thanks, yes, that is a way around it but I prefer to stick to my established workflow. It’s just strange that Auto-Eject can be disabled in LR Classic but not in LR CC!

Every time you go back to the import dialog, it has to load all the thumbs again. Have you tried importing all 1000 while you sit back and enjoy a cuppa, and then create the albums from the "recent import" collection. It's honestly way quicker.

I also like to select a group of images, create and name an album for that group then import the group. I then go on to the next group, do the same and so on until all images have been imported. As I may have shot over 1000 images in a studio session and like to create up to 15 different albums for each part of the shoot, it’s very tedious having to take out the SD card and reconnect many times. It seems odd that LR Classic has the facility to disable Auto-Eject but not the newer Cloud Based LR CC.

I‘m new to Lightroom CC. How do I stop it from auto ejecting my camera sd card whenever I select and import photos to my iMac? Thanks

Are you referring to Lightroom CC (the cloud-based Lightroom) or Classic? In Classic, in the import dialog, there is an option to check to eject the card at the end of the import process. Not sure about Lightroom CC because I haven't imported for quite a while in that program.

I have the ssme problem today on latest LR Classic. I found a card in one of my cameras with unimported photos spanning 6 years and could find no option in the import dialog about ejecting the card or not.

I save by Year\month\day.

The closest I get is to select the month and then checkmark each day within it that has photos.

LR won't let me do another month at the same time so did 23 seperate imports and had to remove and re-insert the card each time. What a pain in the posterior region.

Can you post a screenshot showing that option?

Thanks.

There's a lot of scope for user error (accidentally missing photos) doing it that way whereas if you import in one go, you can then drag/drop into albums.

It’s simply I would like to import the images in different batches for better organization ^_^

There isn't a way at this point in time, but I'll change it to a feature request. Can you explain why you need to keep it attached? That'll help your case.
