P: Ability to sort by custom user order

Does anyone have an update on when this basic feature will be available?

I think what Adobe is doing is trying to force us to sort based on a logical order (time, filename, etc).  I want to sort based on any illogical order I feel...like Lightroom Classic.  But that is an argument of semantics and yes I agree, its useless without this feature.

I am also freaking flabbergasted that Adobe left this out of CC.  If I want to simply rearrange my images I have to go between two programs (CC w/ web or mobile or classic).  Why would I use this outside of its syncing/backup ability that I can do easily although manually vs using incomplete software?  Outside of using another program, this is like 1991 basic stuff where the program only sorts by data.

I agree with Sharon that CC is useless without a custom sort order that is based on whatever whim I have and not some type data (rating, file number, capture date, etc) and without using a secondary system (web/mobile) to do the sorting.

The workaround that was suggested to me recently is set the custom order of your album in Lr Web, which will sync to LrCC when you select the custom order option of the album. 

Lightroom albums are useless to me if photos can only appear chronologically and can't be reordered. That's absolutely basic for any application claiming to cater to creative photographers. Unless that changes, Lightroom CC is also useless to me, and I need to continue to use the desktop app.

This omission is daft. Even Google Photos has a good implementation of managing album photo custom order.

Just didn't quite make it in time for the deadline, among all of the other priorities Mike. Since it's in the mobile/web apps, I'd expect it to be a high priority.

custom sort order is available in web version of lightroom, so why not in lightroom CC?

Great request jlucca, custom sort is high on my list of priorities too.
