P: Add back Missing embed code in Lightroom

Greetings good people,

I would like to embed a Lightroom gallery on a Wordpress website, but I have no luck finding the embed code. I have done it once before a couple of months ago without problems so I am a bit puzzled.

There is a post at the Webflow forum that describes the procedure (https://discourse.webflow.com/t/embed-lightroom-gallery-into-webflow/228595/2), but as you can see from the attached screenshot (which is in Danish - sorry about that) I do not have any embed code. I have tried both the Lightroom App and lightroom.adobe.com.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Best regards,

Thomas

As far as I've found only slideshows are supported, so I tend to include a link below to the gallery view on the adobe site.

Thanks!

Any way to make this a gallery view? And not a slideshow?

See above for workarounds.

There used to be a "Get embed code" option in the sharing menu of galleries in Lightroom on the web. It seems to be gone..

Where did it go, and is there a new solution in the Adobe eco system that lets me embed a gallery on another website?

Thanks!

Here's the more exact details for the workaround those of us who need everything spelled out. 🙂

Get the normal share link, like this:

https://adobe.ly/[yourdata]

Open it. After the redirect resolves you should have something like this.

https://lightroom.adobe.com/shares/[GALLERY IDENTIFER]

Copy everything after shares/ and paste it into the embeddable link below.

https://lightroom.adobe.com/embed/shares/[GALLERY IDENTIFIER]/slideshow?background_color=%232D2D2D&color=%23999999

Paste that full link into the src of this iFrame (I coppied this from an old LR embed on my site)

<iframe id='iframe' src='[NEW LINK HERE]' frameborder='0'style='width:100%; height:100%; position: absolute; top:0; left:0;' ></iframe>

Maybe this will save someone a few minutes of trial and error.

And as a workaround, should you have an old embed code available for another album, you can use the public link to embed another album: just change the long ID string (after the adobe.ly short link has been resolved) to the one for the new album, and voila!

Whose harebrained idea was it to take away functionality that folks are using?

Greetings,

The ability to acquire and use Embed Code from a Lightroom Web album was removed recently in conjunction with other recent changes. We plan to return the ability to reaccess Embed Code in a future update.

I am moving this to a feature request so it can track against our internal process to restore the functionality.

Hello Thomas,

I am having the same issue. I have done it many times and the code would appear when you share an album. Now it is gone. I wonder if they have removed the option? Have you heard anything new?
