P: Add More Adaptive Profiles

There is only one color-based Adaptive profile. The Adaptive Color profile is quite good overall and works well on most images I take. It saves a significant amount of time.

Occasionally, it will not do a good job. This is often when making a picture too bright when it’s not needed.

I would like to see more adaptive profiles to handle more situations or provide more options. It is clearly better than those which do not change based on the image.

If you train another adaptive profile, it will not have the same output.

Not exactly the same, no. But the basis will be the same because you train it for the same purpose. Otherwise you would get a totally useless profile, that only works with the very few exceptions where the standard adaptive profile does not work well. I doubt that Adobe is willing to spend time and money on a profile that is rarely useful.

I doubt that more Adaptive profiles would change this. The adaptive profile creates masks based on what it sees in the image. Another adaptive profile will see the same thing, so it is very likely it will come up with the same (or very similar) mask. Sometimes it still needs a human to decide how to edit a photo…
