P: Add Quick Develop Panel
I am a professional photographer. I have been using Lightroom Classic for 20 years (since the beta days). Since "Local" was added on the last update, I really want to migrate to Lightroom and stop having to import and use catalogs, but I cannot until the following five features are migrated. I will briefly explain why I need each feature.
1. Quick Develop
The ability to increase or decrease an exposure for entire jobs by a third to a full stop without changing the develop module settings for each photo has saved me hundreds of hours. If for some reason my monitor settings were too low or too high this feature is a god send. In the passed I increased a 2,000 picture finished event that took days to post process by 1/3 exposure within minutes.
2. Develop mode Snapshots.
I use snapshots religously to make fine tweaks and compare different processing options. Especially if I am using Lightroom to do photographic art. I have a third party app that I use to creat a snapshot of all photos before post processing is started that I title "Original" this way I can always see my starting point without resetting. Then when I am finished I can selectively create snapshots for different art and scroll through them quickly.
3. Rename options in Export (retaining the original file number)
Having the full set of file naming options on Export, especially retaining the original file number when doing a custom file name is mandatory. I cannot believe that Lightroom does not give you the option for keeping the original file number when renaming. This one missing feature is a show stopper for me.
4. Color coding.
more than half of my work is as an event photographer. I will have as many as 1,000+ photos for many events. I use color coding for grouping large jobs into sets such as Red=reception, Yellow=groups, Green=main event, blue=individuals. . .
5. Retaining the Lrc Print module. I use Print all the time.
Only five features are keeping me from moving entirely to Lightroom. I would really like feedback and support from the community to have these fife features included.
