P: Album Order Scrambled in Gallery

Classifying a bug as a feature request and then forget to implement (fix) it for more then 3 years.

They really said "by design" and stopped answering? hahahaha never seen somebody care so little about their paying customers

I've moved all my photo archive to light room recently... and keep collecting little issues here and there. This one is super annoying because all my photos are sorted by the year and the gallery I am sharing with my familily is totally unusable because there is no basic sorting / no filers  and no search.

It feels like I am going to cacel my subscription and move back to google phots simply because gallery is unusable (which is sad because I love light room as a stadanlone tool)

It is really very frustrating that there has been no progress reported for addressing this issue. It continnues to be an issue and I hope that one of the Customer Advocates will be able to pick this up, run with it, and help to get the issue resolved for the benefit of users.  I am happy to provide further diagnostic information as required, and to get involved in testing a solution if that would help to achieve a resolution.

I hope that someone from Adobe will reach out in reply shortly.

Any updates to this issue? I've just started using the Gallery feature (which btw is only available if I access Lightroom from the Web, and not from the Desktop app) and I can't figure out the way that LR sorts the albums that are added. Is there a plan/ticket or something?

Is there any update about this "feature"? (Well, since it worked before and it's broken now, I would say it's actually a "bug" though.) This bug is the only thing that I'm not happy with the web album. If this can be fixed, it would perfectly fit my use case. Please let us re-order the albums manually in the web gallery. Thank you.

It’s disappointing that there has not been an update on this issue. Rikk’s last post explained that “LrW team has indicated current behavior is as-currently-designed. ” I am uncomfortable about this and I have spent some time trying various options such as adding new collections in LR (Classic), syncing them, and making them “public”, and then adding those collections to the “gallery” in LR web. Initially those new collections show at the bottom of the list of all the collections in my gallery which is a good start, but on refreshing that page those new collections appear to have been re-sorted at random amongst all the other collections. The public view of the gallery, using the hyperlink provided, shows the same random order. It seems incredible that such re-sorting would be “by design”. Would it be possible to have this issue reconsidered and possibly identified as either a bug or an enhancement – with some control for the user to set a customised order for the collections within the gallery, or an order based on collection names or date added? If the current random order is not actually random could the LrW team explain the algorithm using for the sorting - as designed - so that we can see if we can use that information to achieve what we need?

I was hopeful a bug would be identified and fixed in the current updates, but evidently not. The six albums in my Gallery appear in this order: 1, 2, 5, 6, 4, 3 (rather than 1 - 6). Just tried deleting and adding them again, no help.

The LrW team has indicated current behavior is as-currently-designed. They have taken the request under advisement. 

Rikk two users here state that it worked properly in older versions of LrC so something has changed and should be fixed. I don't see this as a feature request other than perhaps my mention of providing alphanumeric sort order in the Gallery Add Album selector.
