P: Allow Direct Importing images into iPad with ios 13

I'm using Lightroom Mobile (4.3.2) on an iPadPro-2018. I want to import images from an SD card into LR.
Here's my import process:
-Attach card reader to UBS-C port, insert SD card
-Open Files.app and browser to the SD Card
-Select the photos you want to import into LR
-Select "Share" in the lower left corner of the Files.app

At this point, I should be able to select Lightroom. However, the LR option ONLY appears if the number of files is 10 or fewer. More than 10 files and the Lightroom icon does not appear. With this process, no more than 10 images can be imported into LR at a time.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Has anyone found a workaround? And yes, I have reported this to Apple.

Thanks for your feedback.

Good news, and thanks for the update. Unfortunately I have to continue to use Photo app to import my photos AND VIDEOS from my Canon G7X mark II.
I hope there will be a next update that will allow DIRECT VIDEO IMPORT.

how is the further workflow. is LR mobile able to generate smartpreviews from an attached drive /card. so only smartpreviews are synched to the cloud and can be reworked at desktop.

With the release of iOS 13.2 and Lightroom Mobile 5.1 you are now able to use the direct import feature.

Thanks ha d a look at it and it’s better from the importing point of view as you have a status of what it’s actually doing however can’t see why they don’t give your the option to creat a new album in the process instead of it importing into the the recently added then having to create and album the reselect the photos to move them to the album.

That is correct. Currently, it's an undocumented feature and not ready for primetime. The update should fix that.

You got a link?

It is working for me but I think the problem is at the moment it looks like it isn’t doing anything. You select all the RAW, click open and the dialog closes and this is where it looks like it’s not doing anything. But if you leave it your photos start to appear after a few minutes

Adobe posted a video this week showing how this will work in an upcoming Lightroom update coming by the end of the year (aka December).

Just tested out and managed to import over 150 RAW files directly. It’s not a great process as there’s no indication anything is happening but eventually some of the photos display and after couple more minutes some more display.

I did it with 200+ raws a couple of weeks ago, and yes that worked. The long delay when it doesn't feel like anything's happening and no integration with the normal dialog where you can see which ones are already imported are likely the reason they're not shouting about it yet.
