Installed the Lightroom for mobile on an LG-E980 running Android 4.4.2 and noticed the Use SD Card "Not available" and greyed out. After searching the community and not finding anything newer that 2 years ago.

I decided to try building a folder on the SD Card in the Android folder that mimicked the one built by the LR install in the internal folder /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.adobe.lrmobile. Using the included File Manger on my phone I added a new folder to /storage/external_SD/Android/data/com.adobe.lrmobile.

I restarted the phone and now I can use the SD card for storage. Lightroom moved my files. The issue is that Android security will not allow an app to write to the SD Card unless certain procedures are followed. This is a work around using the approved file manager that is part of the base system.

Good luck to all of you.  If you change the SD card you will have to rebuild the folder.
