P: (Desktop) Please add Merge to HDR

It looks like the new version of Lightroom CC no longer has the ability to merge photos into an HDR.  Are there any plans of adding this back in, or is this a push to use Photoshop CC to perform the merges instead?

No, that's not possible if you don't have Photoshop or similar. The trial of Lightroom Classic might be able to do it though. It's not an ideal workflow, however, and hopefully it won't take too long for HDR merge to be added to CC.

Hi Josh,

I'm a new user to Lightroom CC As this was my first foray into the Lightroom product line I was very surprised to find that I'm not able to merge HDR photos with the software as this was one of the features that I was expecting from Lightroom.

I've tried the workaround that you suggested above, however I get the following error: Camera Raw editing is not enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature.

I have the following Adobe software installed on my computer: Elements, Lightroom CC and Premier Pro CC.

Please let me know hoe I can either access this Camera Raw program or otherwise process HRD merging.

Thanks,

Rod

Add the HDR and Pano merge features from the other version of LR. This feature is unique to LR and its the reason some people stay with LR. RAW HDR and merge tools don't seem to exist elsewhere.

If you can download Lightroom Classic, then you have the Photographers Plan that includes Photoshop. If you have the Lightroom CC plan (only Lightroom CC and 1 TB storage) then you can't use Lightroom Classic either (except as trial for a short period).

How are you supposed to merge panorama pics if all you have is Lightroom?  Clearly these functionalities have been in the product before, and a panorama is an incredibly important feature.  Do I have to locate and install Lightroom Classic?

Thank you for the workaround Joshua!
