P: Easier selection of photo underneath add photos button on iphone

I’m fighting to get the “add photos from or use camera” overlay to not be in the way of the bottom right hand photo when I want to select it. There seems to be some sort of logic to make the overlay disappear but it’s not consistent.

I think this logic could be better. Or maybe the overlay could be flickable to the left side like the front face camera preview in FaceTime.
