P: edit device photo feature would be more of a “sync edits” type feature.

I was so excited today to see they added an edit device photos option. And then disappointed. I really thought it was going to solve the biggest pain in my workflow. 

Currently I maintain an Apple Photos library and a Lightroom Cloud Library. Currently any edits I do, or RAWs I import directly to Lightroom are exported back out to Apple Photos. I was really hoping to edit device photo feature would be more of a “sync edits” type feature. Whereas I could edit a Photo that has been imported from my device and it would both save the edit to Lightroom and my device photo. 
I know this feature would have a lot of edge cases, like what if the photo was imported from the device library, but then deleted but I’d sure love to see Adobe solve this somehow.
