P: Graphical & Image Based Watermarks on images

When outputting any image from Lightroom mobile directly to any service, the image needs to have, at minimum, a © NAME simple watermark placed upon it. I don't think we need full functionality of the Watermark editor in Lightroom desktop but we do need the minimum functionality of the Simple Watermark in Lightroom's Export dialog. Until there is a way to mark an image, why would anyone consider using LR mobile to post anywhere?

NOTE: The original post was a request for a simple, text based watermark which has been implemented. This thread will continue to be the place to vote for image based watermarks.

Really need this ability to add my custom logo as the watermark when sharing from Lr mobile, not just a plain text one. Hard to believe it hasn’t been implemented yet, especially now that iPadOS has the Files app that allows us to have the png file accessible on our iPad. Surely this could be easily implemented and rolled out in a minor update to the app. Can anyone from Adobe give us a sense of whether this functionality is coming or not, and when or why not?

Just subscribed to Lightroom CC, wish I had read these posts first as a major requirement was to be able to add my brand new logo to my photos. Will read your posts on workarounds but they seem labour intensive and frustrating. Hopeless Abobe.

from what I've been reading , adobe is wanting to pony up an additional 120 A YEAR to get the ability to add a watermark? This seems insane. why can you do it in mobile but not on a desktop? creators have been asking years for this... they've proven they can do it with the mobile version? I guess adobe really doesnt care for creators

I would suggest that in the same way you can create a custom watermark by uploading an image (e.g. my logo) on PS Express you should be able to do the same on Lightroom.

And idea that you could place a .png picture as a watermark and maybe freely place it to the picture and save it as an sample so it goes for everypicture the same

I’ve just started editing my images on the iPad Pro and need to send them to publishers however I can only use text based watermarks. For the last 5 years I’ve used my logo and this looks like a set backwards professionally. Can you please add PNG watermark capabilities.
