P: IOS add "import to lighroom, album X" shortcuts option

Right now, if I have a photo that is received/edited in an app, I can "share" it to "import to lightroom", and then it is added to the "all photos" category, then I can go and add that photo to a specific album. If this is done for a large number of photos, this can be difficult to do.

Idea: ability to "add to album" directly -- it will open lightroom, and pop up a dialog "What album to add this to?". Or at minimum, allow a variable to the "import photos to lightroom" shortcut.

Several other apps support this functionality via "shortcuts" automations, however lightroom doesn't currently. Right now, the only parameter to a "Import Photos to Lightroom" shortcut is to "apply preset", it doesn't accept an album name or have an option for an album selector.

Can you walk me step by step how to do that workflow in this scenario: I took 50 photos with my GoPro, and have opened them in the "GoPro" app. Now I want to add them to an album in Lightroom called "car-race". I don't want the photos to end up in my phone's native "photos" album, since that would result in duplicate copies.

You can replace the GoPro example above, with your choice of Google drive, slack, Dropbox, or basically any other app.

If I want to add to album with Apple photos, I can create a shortcut that lets me choose an album to save images to. If I want to upload them to Google drive, I can share to drive and it'll ask me where to save it to. If I want to send them to slack/discord, it will ask me who to message them to and if I want to add a message.  I am just not finding that basic functionality option in Lightroom.

As far as I can tell, the best I can do is to blindly add the photos to Lightroom, open it, open the imports view, find the import, expand it, use the drop down menu to select "select", select the images with a finger, and then do "add to".

I just don't understand the use case for "add to Lightroom" and not adding to an album. Is that a common thing? For people to have photos that aren't in an album? Like more common than to have photos in an album? Why is that the default (and only) "share to Lightroom" work flow?

Just to clarify, how do I get to that view from another app outside of Lightroom?

like if I'm editing in another app, and want to add it, from that app, to Lightroom, without first saving it to my photos folder, opening Lightroom, importing, and adding to an album that way?

This already exists.  Not as a shortcut, but from within the Lightroom app try long-pressing on an image(s) in Device view, and you can choose an album into which you can import.
