Provide segmentation features on desktop to match iOS app

Why not merge into the original, aka “close as duplicate”? Anyway, mobile has segmentation by flag and star rating as well. I don’t really get why the new one replaces the seven year old one and then removes some of the ask :(

I don’t know if I’m the only one but features that are on the phone and not on desktop is one of my absolute least favorite things about LR. Would love to be able to share to the clipboard on the mac.

Warum ist das Gruppieren (oder Segmentieren) von Fotos in einem Album in der Desktop-App nicht möglich?

In den mobilen Versionen (Android und iOS) kann man das machen, z.B. nach Jahr oder Monat...

iOS Lightroom has segementation so you can have the grid view segment photos by various options, notably by date such as Year or Month or Date which I always find invaluable. But oddly it's missing from macOS. There is a drill down date option in the sidebar (which wish iOS had), but that is different from segmentation since you can visually see which photos are in the segements by simply scrolling.

Not sure if this omission on macOS is an oversite or some reason why it's intentionally not there on macOS but is on iOS?

Wow. I am so glad I used to pirate this stuff. Adobe is so terrible with basic features. This has been on here since 2018, 5 years ago. I'm glad I moved the majority of my workflow over to Aff****y because this is just inexcusable for a company their size with the money they're making off cloud.

Why is a very useful option("segmentation") found on the ipad app not also found on the macbook pro m2 app?

The option "segmentation" is not apparent in the 'Desktop' version of Lightroom.

Perhaps because the larger screen size of Macs & PCs doesn't warrent "segmentation".

Both 'Sort' and 'By Date' options are the nearest to "segmentation" although it might be useful in Lightroom-Desktop - worthy of suggesting as an 'idea'!
