P: Local- Support Collections/Albums

Feature Request: Local Albums/Collections in Lightroom

I’d like to request Lightroom to support local albums or collections similar to Lightroom Classic.  This is really the feature holding me back from completely switching over to Lightroom (Lr) from Lightroom Classic (LrC). Clearly sidecar and/or embedded edits are the future instead of a database Catalog. Easier to backup/sync work across devices, etc. But creating Catalogs is essential for long term projects, especially as someone who shoots with 100mb raw files. I have professional hardware and storage locally. Lr is just such a better and faster editing experience than LrC.

Ideally, local albums would behave like normal Lightroom albums, but with a clear “local only” status and option to ‘sync’ it to the cloud. Why not bring Lr more in parity in terms of features to LrC? maybe a ‘Pro’ mode or module that can be enabled.
