P: Managing images in the grid

When you have a large album of images, the thumbnails with all icons (rating, flags...) around the border is insufficient to quickly scan or find which specific image I want.

The idea would be to somehow have conditional color changes of the border based on filter criteria. e.g. make the border green for everything which has 2 stars....
