P: Migrate from LR Classic to LR without going through the Cloud

Currently when you try to migrate from LRC to LR everything gets uploaded to the cloud. I want to be able to CONVERT my edits from a catalog to LR edits (XMP or another solution) and keep it Local.

Right now I need to Migrate, and then get it off the cloud after it has finished uploading by using the new Archive Locally feature. This is half a solution. I really want to switch becuase I understand that at some point the two apps will merge, and LR works great, but you need to make my life easier doing that.
