P: Option in settings for Delete but to work like delete in other applications

I’m about ready to rage quit lightroom over this one issue. I want my delete button to actually delete my photos. Everywhere and at all times. I would never ever ever, hit that button if I just wanted to unorganize them out of my folders. What a stupid feature.
I know I can right click delete, but I don’t ever remember that I have to do that so I always just end up with thousands of unorganized photos before I realize that my delete key is unorganizing photos out of my folders and not actually deleting. Your Pop up warning that it is only deleting out of the folder looks exactly like the Pop up warning to say that All Photos are being deleted. So it’s basically a useless pop up. I just want the option to make my DELETE key actually function like a delete key, the way it functions in LITERALLY EVERY OTHER PROGRAM!!! 
I don’t want a work around for this issue. My keyboard usage is ingrained in brain. It’s second nature for me to hit delete if I want to delete something. I break down crying every single time I make this mistake and I still make that mistake every single time. Please fix this because I don’t want to have to shop for other programs. But this ends up being such a time waster for me, and a source of stress.
